Overview

Natter is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your voice data is yours and yours alone. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how the app works.

Audio & Transcription Data

Natter does not send audio or transcription data to our servers. When you use Natter, your audio is sent directly from your device to OpenAI's API using your own API key. We never see, store, or process your audio or transcribed text.

API Keys

Your OpenAI API key is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers. All API calls are made directly from the Natter app on your machine to OpenAI's servers.

Account & Purchase Data

No account is required to download or use Natter's free trial. If you choose to purchase Natter Pro, the transaction is processed securely in-app. We store only the minimum data needed to verify your license: an email address and license key.

Website Analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not use cookies or collect personal data. It provides aggregate traffic data only.

• Audio recordings
• Transcription text
• Your OpenAI API key
• Usage patterns or analytics from the desktop app
• Cookies on this website

Third-Party Services

Natter interacts with OpenAI's API for transcription and text cleanup. Your use of OpenAI's services is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
